Organisers of the 2017 ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship (SRC) have reached an agreement with two route note providers for events in the 2017 series.
Scotmaps, who have provided route notes for the SRC since they were introduced into UK rallying in the late 90’s, will now be joined by Onthepacenote who are heading over from Ireland to provide notes in the U.K. for the first time.
The unique move aims to give competitors in the Championship freedom of choice in one of the most intrinsic areas of our sport. Series organisers believe this will further still increase the appeal of the series which is already renowned as one of the best in the UK.
Dave Weston, SRC Vice Chairman, welcomed the confirmation of the agreement.
“This is another first for the SRC, and it’s something that the championship organisers have been looking at for a number of seasons” he says. “Scotmaps provide a fantastic service and we have a partnership that has lasted for many years. As a competitor focused championship we are always looking for ways to evolve the series and having Killian Duffy from OnThePacenote to offer his notes to our contenders can only further enhance the championship. Giving our competitors a choice of route note providers allows us to offer two of the best companies in the business to our contenders and a change of MSA regulations has allowed us to do this”.
Both note providers have an online ordering facility and links to their websites can be found below.
