Before we turn our attention to a new season let’s have one final look back to 2021 and January’s Awards Evening to extend our thanks to all the people and companies who contributed to the celebration of an unusual and challenging 2021.
This was the first time we have been able to gather together as a championship since 2019 so it was good to see such a good turnout at our first visit to the Glasgow Hilton Hotel.
Celebrating the first of their 4 titles, Champions Garry Pearson & Niall Burns were presented with a unique memento of their achievement in the form of this digital print by mdawsonart (on Instagram).
As well as the usual look back over events since the last championship in 2019 and the handing over of around 140 trophies and awards we kicked off with the now traditional heads and tails competition where Niall Burns’s winning streak in Scotland continued. Later in the evening we held an auction with a range of prizes kindly donated from PD Extinguishers, Proflex suspension, Gulf Racing Fuels, Carbon Positive Motorsport and the Hilton Hotel, in addition to guaranteed entries to the 2022 Jim Clark Reivers and Carlisle Stages rallies.
